NEEDES members attend 100-300 incidents per year. 80% are road traffic accidents, 15% are industrial, sporting or other injuries, the remaining 5% are sudden illness.

In addition to medical and general practice qualifications, NEEDES members have specialist training in subjects such as the care of accident victims, the care of very ill children and life saving following heart attacks.

Several members take an active part in the teaching of these skills to other health professionals.

A BIG thank you to the British Heart Foundation who provided £ 1847 grant for purchase of a new life saving Zoll AED pro defibrillator for use on the streets of Essex.
